Dear fellow Rotarians,

2022. The pandemic seemed to be conquered. However, the geopolitical situation and the brutal war in Ukraine still made us anxious and sad. May peace prevail soon.

Although, our 46th European Open Championship in Belek/Antalya gave us lots of pleasure as we enjoyed golf and fellowship again since the EOC in Tenerife in 2019. See Highlights!

Our Executive committee continued to further expand our association and prepared 2023 to become an excellent year of ‘golf and fellowship’ amongst golfing Rotarians and partners. Initially, it was planned not to organize a European Open Championship this year to fully focus on the IGFR WC in Rome in July. But negotiations between both associations failed. GFR Europe decided to plan a European Open Championship after all.

The Rotary Club of Marbella showed great interest to organize the 47th European Open Championship . Rtn Monica Peters and her team are preparing us a exciting program in Andalucia from 13 – 17 of november 2023. A special opportunity to play golf in good company and fully enjoy life in a very best environment!
